USA Today: NBC has ordered 13 episodes of “Coach,” a sequel to the ABC comedy that will feature the return of original star Craig T. Nelson. The first “Coach” ran for nine seasons, departing the TV field in 1997. The new version picks up in the present day, 18 years after the original ended. A retired Hayden becomes an “assistant coach to his own grown son, who is the new head coach at an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania that is starting up a new team.”
