Baltimore Business Journal: Sinclair Broadcast Group is looking to take a stake in some of the digital startup companies. The television heavyweight has launched a new division to invest in early-stage digital technology and content companies. The division, called Sinclair Digital Ventures, emphasizes seed and Series A funding. It could also make outright acquisitions in some cases. The new division is based in Seattle, where it can be closely aligned with an existing Sinclair software development group. “We’re looking for companies that we would be a customer of.”
