Wall Street Journal: In an effort to avert slowing revenue growth, Google plans to show more, and bigger, ads. The Internet giant Tuesday unveiled changes to its lucrative advertising business that are likely to please investors — but could alienate some users. Google said it will increase the size of ads that run atop search results, enabling two-line titles and longer descriptions. The company will also expand ads on Google Maps, allowing businesses to advertise promotions, and begin displaying ads for businesses along driving routes.
