Tampa Bay Times: Jill Abramson, after her departure as executive editor of the New York Times, said she was working on a new journalism startup that would pay $100,000 advances to journalists. So, how’s that going? “That is a little stalled at the moment,” said Abramson. “I worry at this point I don’t have the time to do it. It was going to be the focus of my work, but now I have a full load with teaching at Harvard, which I love doing. I have signed up to write a book. I write a political column for the Guardian. I’m pretty booked.”
