MarketWatch: Axel Springer said Wednesday its online accommodations unit offered to buy Land & Leisure for roughly $69.1 million. Land & Leisure specializes in renting vacation accommodations in Scandinavia and northern Germany. Land & Leisure has about 240 employees and main offices in Copenhagen and Hamburg. Springer, one of Europe’s biggest publishers, has been actively branching out in digital businesses, and operates a number of classified ad websites alongside its print and online media activities.
