MarketWatch: Every year that 20th Century Fox has released an “X-Men” film during Memorial Day weekend, the film has come out atop the four-day box-office period. This weekend looks to be no different. Fox continues its retooled “X-Men” saga this weekend with “X-Men: Apocalypse.” This marks the third year in the past 10 in which Fox has unleashed an “X-Men” flick on Memorial Day. But with an $82 million forecasted debut weekend, “X-Men: Apocalypse” is expected to fall well below 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand,” which raked in $122.9 million.
