CBS-Viacom Merger ‘Unlikely;’ Potential CEOs Named

Deadline: Philippe Dauman’s relationship with Sumner Redstone used to be so strong that few could imagine a change at the top of Viacom. But that’s quickly become topic No. 1 around the media giant as a house cleaning appears to be in the works. A recombination of CBS and Viacom, led by Les Moonves, has a “relatively low probability,” analysts said. Among the possible new bosses for Viacom: Tom Freston, Tom Staggs, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Peter Chernin, Chase Carey.
