New York Post: The bidding for Mort Zuckerman’s New York Daily News is nearing the end of round one. Newsday owner James Dolan is said to be preparing to bid $1 for the money-losing tabloid. Other bidders include John Castimatidis, the Gristedes supermarket mogul, who reportedly submitted a bid last Wednesday. Also, Jimmy Finkelstein, owner of the Washington, D.C., publication The Hill, was rumored to be interested.
