Viacom’s Paramount Sees Interest from China’s Wanda

Reuters: Chinese real-estate and entertainment conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group is said to have held talks with Viacom about acquiring a minority stake in its Paramount Pictures unit. Wanda’s interest adds new urgency to deliberations over Paramount’s future, which has become the flashpoint of a bitter row between Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman and controlling shareholder Sumner Redstone.
