New York Times: A Twitter message sent, and then deleted, led to a high-speed internet chase to try to verify the future of the chairman of Fox News. The Drudge Report, which has become known more for its aggregation and flashy headlines than for breaking big stories, had thrown the media into full-on pandemonium.
