Tronc, Struggling Newspapers Get a Smackdown on HBO

MarketWatch: John Oliver sounded off on the sorry state of print journalism during his weekly show. Oliver, the host of “Last Week Tonight” on HBO, took aim at Tronc, the rebranded Tribune Publishing. The name “sounds like the noise an ejaculating elephant makes or, more appropriately, the sound of a stack of newspapers being thrown into a dumpster.”
