Politico: Peter Thiel, the billionaire venture capitalist who funded lawsuits against Gawker Media, published an op-ed in the New York Times on Monday, just an hour before final bids were due in Gawker’s bankruptcy auction. Thiel suggested that Gawker’s bankruptcy was a well-deserved consequence of its willingness to invade people’s privacy.
