Financial Times: Tronc, owner of the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune, has sparked corporate governance concerns by paying $400,000 to lease a private jet from an investment firm controlled by its largest shareholder and non-executive chairman. Michael Ferro is the company’s chairman and its largest shareholder with a 17 percent stake through his Merrick Media vehicle.
