CBS’s Moonves Says Viacom Merger Talks in ‘Early Stages’

Financial Times: Discussions about merging Viacom and CBS are “still in the early stages,” the US broadcaster’s chief executive said on Thursday. “If it looks right and it is structured properly, [it] could be an attractive opportunity,” Les Moonves said of the push from National Amusements, the controlling shareholder in both companies, to recombine after a decade apart.
