New York Post: Time Warner’s CEO Jeff Bewkes is singing a new song on digital. The veteran defender of the traditional pay-TV ecosystem talked up the prospect of digital dollars pouring in from around the globe as broadband-delivered TV opens new doors for the cable programmer. Speaking on the company’s first-quarter call, Bewkes touted online video tie-ups with Apple, Dish’s Sling, Sony’s View, China’s Tencent and Amazon and a new deal to supply Hulu with programming. “It’s going to be good for [traditional] distributors to reinvigorate their marketing of channel packages that consumers want,” Bewkes said.
