New York Post: Pay-TV provider Starz has long maintained it has the rights to air Disney’s expected blockbuster, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” But as the Mouse House unveils marketing plans surrounding the epic, the answer appears less than clear-cut. Sources close to Disney suggest that “The Force Awakens” is in fact a carve-out from its existing deal with Starz, and that the film could land somewhere else. Beginning in 2016, Disney movie rights transfer to Netflix.
