Chicago Tribune: Tribune Media got off to a “good start across the company” in the first quarter, according to CEO Peter Liguori. Revenues grew across its television and digital segments, and profits from continuing operations were up. The company is looking for bigger things in the second and third quarters, in part due to its renegotiated rights agreement to broadcast Cubs games on WGN-Channel 9, where ratings are up 59 percent over last season, Liguori said. “In Chicago, people are tuning in again to watch the Cubs on WGN.”
