New York Post: Rich Eigendorff, the chief operating officer at MTV Networks, is departing the company. His departure was rumored months ago after parent company Viacom began letting go senior executives as part of a restructuring aimed at repositioning the youth-focused cable giant. Viacom took a huge $785 million charge as part of the structural reorganization with $355 million attributable to layoffs. One source said Eigendorff, who has worked at the firm for decades, is choosing to retire from the company.
