News Corp Sees Costs Rise from Phone-Hacking Scandal

Telegraph: News Corp.’s UK unit has seen a sharp increase in costs relating to phone hacking. The 2017 bill for compensation, legal fees and other matters related to the scandal topped £50 million, compared with £30 million a year earlier. Dozens of phone hacking claims await a court hearing.
