New York Observer: In March, pioneering tech news site, Gigaom, announced that it was ceasing operations, laying off all of its staff. On Friday, Austin-based Knowingly acquired the site’s domain and content library, with plans to relaunch the site on Aug. 15. “This new world we are making will not just be more prosperous, but it will be more fair and more just than any time in the past,” said Knowingly’s founder, Byron Reese. “Gigaom will continue documenting this transformation and the technologies which are driving it.”
