New York Business Journal: New York-area startups and venture capitalists are making funding deals with the hopes of creating the next profitable company. Among the latest is Mic, the news and media company aimed at a millennial audience. The company announced that it had hired NPR executive editor Madhulika Sikka to take on the same role at Mic and work to double the size of the company’s 45-person newsroom. Sikka’s mission will be to increase original reporting, investigations and video.
