CBS Inks Deal to Expand ‘Star Trek’ Universe Into New Series

CNET: CBS announced a five-year deal with “Star Trek: Discovery” showrunner Alex Kurtzman and his production company, who will oversee the production of new Star Trek series.The deal is reported to include new traditional shows, shorter miniseries and possibly animation.
