Associated Press: Better Homes and Gardens says longtime chief editor Gayle Butler, who helped expand the magazine’s scope and digital reach, is retiring. Meredith, which owns the magazine, released a statement saying Butler will end her 30-year career with the company at the end of June. Better Homes and Gardens is among the nation’s most widely read magazines, with 7.6 million readers. Butler will be replaced by Stephen Orr, executive editor at Conde Nast Traveler and previous editorial director for Martha Stewart Living.
