Financial Times: Snapchat has lured millennials by creating a new type of social media. The disappearing photo app boasts more than 100 million daily active users, who use it to draw silly pictures on their images, watch and contribute to live video stories about events and locales, and even read snippets of news. The start-up is embarking on building a business out of those users. Evan Spiegel, its 24-year old co-founder and CEO, has been touring advertising agencies and brands to tout the app as the platform for marketers to access much-desired millennials, who do not consume much traditional media. “They have a large share of the market for people with short attention spans.”
