Bloomberg: Vimeo is getting back into mobile videos. The company, owned by Barry Diller’s IAC/InterActiveCorp, is re-introducing its Cameo smartphone video-editing app after spending about a year overhauling the software. The application lets users add title slides, splice clips together and add captions before sharing a video on Vimeo’s platform or other social-media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Vimeo, which has an audience of more than 160 million viewers a month, has been bolstering its catalog of videos, luring filmmakers with feature-length movies and shorter series. The push to add videos taken and edited on smartphones aims to capture a format that’s popular on YouTube.
