News Corp to Use Australia as Base for Growth in Asia

Sky News Australia: News Corp. Australia CEO Julian Clarke will step down at the end of the year, after two years in the role. The company announced that COO Peter Tonagh had been appointed to replace him. News Corp.’s global CEO Robert Thomson said the change is part of the company’s plans to expand its presence in Asia. “Our clear plan is to use Australia as a base for a significant expansion of our presence in Asia, while ensuring that our traditional businesses in Australia are developed to their full potential.”
