Baltimore Business Journal: Sinclair Broadcast Group is targeting sci-fi fans in its latest venture. The broadcasting giant is partnering with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to develop a new 24/7 sci-fi cable network using over 1,500 hours of MGM content. The sci-fi network is expected to debut in the fourth quarter across roughly 30 percent of the country. Sinclair expects to ink more distribution deals prior to the network’s launch. The deal with MGM marks the most recent in a series of partnerships and acquisitions for Sinclair.
