GateHouse, Gannett to Announce Merger of Newspaper Giants

Nieman Lab: The merger of America’s two largest newspaper chains, GateHouse Media and Gannett, could be announced as early as Monday morning. As bankers finalize valuations and as both boards meet by phone this weekend, the timing could be pushed back another day or so.
