Facebook Bans Deepfakes, But ‘Shallowfakes’ Still Allowed

Fast Company:  Facebook has announced a new policy change that will see the ban of deepfake content from its platform. But the new policy does not ban the posting of so-called “shallowfakes” — authentic video that has simply been edited to rearrange the order of words or omit them entirely.
