Guardian: Video services on Vice’s U.K. website cannot be regulated by the British authorities, Ofcom has ruled. The body said because the firm’s head office is in America, it is outside British jurisdiction. The decision means on-demand video on Vice’s U.K.. site will not be subject to the British Communications Act, as its U.K.-based rivals are. It contradicts an earlier ruling by the Authority for Television On Demand.
