New York Post: Dean Baquet, executive editor of the New York Times, is a leading candidate for the top editorial job at the Los Angeles Times. On Monday, Norm Pearlstine told Los Angeles Times staffers he is stepping down as executive editor. Baquet will hit the New York Times’s mandatory retirement next year.
