CBS Interactive Expats Open Software Firm Sapho

Wall Street Journal: When Peter Yared was CIO at CBS Interactive, he experienced how frustrating it could be for managers to execute simple tasks such as reviewing employee expense reports or approving time-off requests. Now he’s started software company Sapho, which is designed to reduce such friction by allowing workers to perform those tasks in a Facebook-like feed. Yared, now Sapho’s CTO, teamed up with former CBSi chief strategy officer Fouad ElNaggar who is now CEO of the company. Sapho has just raised a new round of funding bringing the total amount raised to $8.5 million, including seed funding.
