Guardian: Stuart Millar, the former head of news at the Guardian, has been recruited by BuzzFeed’s U.K. division to be its head of news. He will report to Janine Gibson, the former Guardian deputy editor, who resigned in June and was later appointed as BuzzFeed U.K.’s editor-in-chief. Millar joined the Guardian in 1996 as a trainee. In his 19 years with the paper, he had a variety of roles – reporter, Scotland editor, special projects editor and deputy editor of the U.S. office – before running the news operation.
