Global executive editor Kevin Reynolds, a 23-year veteran of the company who helped build its popular “First Word” wire service, left the firm on Wednesday. The departure, which was announced internally by editor-in-chief John Micklethwait, shocked Bloomberg employees, who held Reynolds in high regard.
