New York Post: Within hours of striking a $17.7 billion deal for Cablevision, French billionaire Patrick Drahi singled out the company’s top-paid managers for the chopping block. Cablevision has “many layers of highly paid people,” Drahi said at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia media conference. “This will change.” He would only smile when asked whether he would jettison another Cablevision asset, Long Island tabloid newspaper Newsday, which is losing money.
