Mashable: Conde Nast’s Anna Wintour called for a meeting on Self magazine’s 37th floor. It was impromptu, at the tail-end of New York Fashion Week. The entire staff held its breath — there had been rumors that the publication would fold by year end. Wintour, ever succinct, announced it would be a short meeting, and the all-hands was to present a new direction for the revamped magazine. Wintour introduced Self’s newest team member, Carolyn Kylstra, who would serve as its digital director. Kylstra hails from BuzzFeed, and for the past year has been its health editor, publishing listicles.
